Helena

Helena

Birthdate:
Age:
Gender: Female

A Nobel Frenchwoman who is the former maiden and the descendant of Joan of arc and the mother of Fena Houtman. She is the old childhood friend and lover of Abel Bluefield.

She came to England on a mission to seduce the king of England and to produce the new la plucelle (as the new maidens father must be a king). Together with Franz, who pretended to be the king's butler to aid Helena on her task, ran away to a safer country (probably the Netherlands). After a while she came back and was found, she was locked up by the king to prison where she wore a prison dress and her hair had been cut short.

Before her death, Helena states to Abel that they'll meet again at "Eden". She was condemned to be burned at the stake probably because was found guilty of treason or witchcraft. Helena appears in Eden and helps Abel to move on to the afterlife and disappears after reassuring her daughter of what comes next is up to her and she is sure that Fena will do fine. Abel made an unfinished portrait of Helena that hangs in his cabin.
