Carol Malus Dienheim

Birthdate: Mar 3
Age:
Gender: Female

Carol grew up in a peaceful life in medieval Europe with her father, who taught her alchemy. After her father was burned at the stake for practicing alchemy, Carol interpreted his last words of "learn more about the world" to mean that she must take it upon herself to dissect the world down to its fundamental components. She then spends several centuries plotting how to accomplish this using alchemy to create artificial homunculus bodies and transferring her memories to them to make her biologically immortal. She has a mastery of alchemy after so long, and has complete control over an alchemical version of noise known as alca-noise, the Aristotelian elements (silver, wind, fire, earth, water) as well as the faust robe Dur da Blá. The use of such powers require the burning of memories as a fuel-source. Due to Carol's long life, she has a large amount to burn, and thinks nothing of losing them as long as it advances her goal.

In Symphogear GX, Carol attempts to use the Château de Tiffauges, a structure which has the power to use the ley lines on the Earth to deconstruct it, to break down the world. She uses a clone, Elfnein, to infiltrate and spy on Symphogear, but is ultimately defeated in battle after the memories of her father reject her and keep her from destroying the world. As a result, she lost most of her memories and later assimilated Elfnein's personality into her body in an attempt to save her life. This process placed Carol into the deep recesses of what is now Elfnein's mind.
