A college student who works part-time at her uncle's bookstore, Fumika is a knowledgeable girl who often finds herself lost in all different types of books, ranging from love novels to Greek mythology. Being well-versed on a variety of topics, it isn't uncommon for her to accidentally go off on a lengthy tangent while trying to educate her fellow idols. Despite that, Fumika has little to no first-hand understanding of the outside world when it comes to everyday life situations or even trying to maintain a casual chit-chat, resulting in proneness to anxiety and socially awkward behavior.

Driven by a desire to change herself for the better and turn over a new leaf, Fumika gets to slowly come out of her shell with the help of all the people she befriends along the way, as well as to experience a lot of the things she has never been able to relate to before.
