Gros is a Gargoyle Xenos. As a Xenos, Gros is far more intelligent and powerful than a normal monster. He is one of the strongest Xenos, being on par with a first class adventurer. Gros has red eyes and a pair of wings. His body is made of ash-colored stone.

Gros is a no-nonsense and stubborn individual. As one of the three leaders of the Xenos, he cares deeply for his kind and will do whatever it takes to protect them. He holds the same dream of living on the surface as his brethren. Unlike Lyd and Ray, however, Gros held no trust in surface dwellers. Due to years of hunters capturing and killing his kind, Gros utterly despised them. When the Hestia Familia was tasked with bringing Wiene to their Hidden Village, Gros made the Xenos put them through a test to see if they would truly protect her. Even when they passed the test, Gros still refused to associate with them.

Upon the death of Ranye and several others, along with the capture of Wiene and Fear, Gros's anger boiled over and he called for revenge against the surface dwellers. He believed people and monsters could never live together in peace, as all previous adventurers who had shown them kindness before always sided with the surface races. His attitude towards humanity has lessened due to the actions of Bell Cranel, who defended and rescued his brethren, even at the cost of his reputation. Over time, Gros even became a bit fond of the boy. When Hermes demanded that a few of the Xenos die at Bell's hands so that his reputation could be restored, Gros volunteered himself so that his debt to the boy would be cleared.
