Isabella Montovani

Countess Lady Isabella Montovani is the grandmother of Angeletta. She is called "Ice Queen" because of her very cold personality. Her son, Adolfo, who married a commoner named Giovanna, was Angeletta's biological father. Lady Isabella entrusted the infant Angeletta to Rossi during a cold winter. She became the secret benefactor of Angeletta during her entire years with Rossi's family. It took several years before the "Ice Queen" accepted her granddaughter. Lady Isabella used to believe that Angeletta is only after her money, but with the help of Romeo and The Black Brothers, her belief changed and she took custody of Angeletta. Countess Montovani brought her granddaughter to Paris to be treated for her serious illness. The "Ice Queen" reappeared later on in the series when she helped Alfredo and Bianca Martini to reclaim their inheritance.
