Commander of the Special Task Force A-01 "Isumi's Valkyries", and second eldest of four daughters in the Isumi family. Adored by those who know her personally, Michiru is straightforward both in command in personally to her subordinates, seldom mincing her words when speaking of serious matters.

Battle-hardened and extremely capable as a leader, Isumi is the one who doesn't lose their cool in the worst situations, giving some the impression that she's cold hearted. But she's a very caring and considerate person, with a policy of intervention with regards to the member's well being. If she notices a problem, she will not hesitate to attempt to fix or help them.

In contrast to her older sister Yayoi, who is the type of person who can do anything without effort, Michiru works extremely hard to be as good as her. Michiru is very conscious of the fact that she is always being compared to her sister, which causes a tension between the two even though they love each other, and sometimes they keep a distance.

In KimiIta, Michiru is the same intelligent and pragmatic perfectionist at Hakuryo University. Despite how amazing she is, Michiru is very self-conscious about how others perceive her. She is extremely reluctant to show her softer side even to her family, with Masaki being one of the few who can get it out of her.
