Utano Shiratori is a the main character of Nogi Wakaba is a Hero's Bonus Chapter, Shiratori Utano is a Hero. Utano is the world's first Hero to do battle against the Vertex invasion, as well as the sole protector of the Nagano region of Japan. Her Hero weapon, Fujidzuru, is a whip fashioned after a Wisteria vine, granted to her by a local god who maintains the protective barrier around Nagano.

Utano finds great joy in farming, and is known by all to have an unshakeable positive attitude, often being credited with getting the people of Suwa back on their feet after the dread of the Vertex' invasion first set in over the populace, with the help of her mantra: "No matter what hardships may come our way, humanity will always get back on its feet!" This attitude, and the fact that she successfully brings the region together, has made her greatly beloved in the eyes of the people.

Her small holdout of land is in daily radio contact with Wakaba Nogi's Hero team in Kagawa, over which she formed a close friendship with Wakaba. Utano is known to care very deeply for her Miko, Mito Fujimori, who is her only companion from the back lines in her fight to defend her home from the Vertex. Also known to be quite fond of English, Utano will often insert random phrases of it into her speech, to the dismay of some, and the amusement of others. She strives to one day become the 'Farm King', who will have everyone worldwide eat the vegetables that she proudly grows herself.
