Argonavis

An all-male band in the ARGONAVIS project of the BanG Dream! franchise. It is composed of 5 members: Masahiro Itou as Ren Nanahoshi on vocals, Daisuke Hyuga as Yuuto Goryou on guitar, Seiji Maeda as Wataru Matoba on bass, Shouhei Hashimoto as Banri Shiroishi on drums, and Shuuta Morishima Rio Kikyou on keyboard.

The band was announced shortly before the start of the BanG Dream! 5th☆LIVE. Due to an uproar of worried fans that the characters from Girls Band Party! will have to interact with male characters, Takaaki Kidani, Bushiroad's President, clarified that the male project will not mix and interact with the existing project.

On May 11, 2018, Daisuke, Shuuta, and Seiji were the first three voice actors to be revealed as part of the project. They announced the joining of Masahiro during their Argonavis 0-2nd LIVE -The Beginning- which they held on September 15, 2018. The last member to join was Shouhei, announced during their Argonavis 0-BEYOND LIVE -The Beginning-.

The name Argonavis is a reference from a large ship named Argo Navis in old Greek mythology, which was a large constellation that no longer exists, as it has been divided into four seperate ones: Vela, Puppis, Carina, and Pyxis, which gathered together and become the ship's head, the Argo. According to Morishima, "Argonavis" is the keyword of the combination of all stars.
