Dream Ami is a J-pop soloist under the talent agency LDH JAPAN. She used to be a member of the now-disbanded J-pop groups Dream, E-girls and DANCE EARTH PARTY.

Prior to her der debut, she attended CALESS vocal and dance school. She joined avex trax's girl group "dream" as a new member on 2002 and debuted on 2003. Her original name Ami Nakashima was used back then, but afterwards she changed it to just her given name romanized, Ami, as stage name. The group transferred to LDH on 2009 and changed the name to "Dream". They were later added to the supergroup E-girls alongside the other girl groups of the company. Ami was also temporarily in the line-up of their co-ed group DANCE EARTH PARTY in 2014. She debuted as a solo artist, Dream Ami, in 2015 with the single "Dress wo Nuida Cinderella". With the disbandment of Dream and her departure from E-girls in 2017, she's now continuing her solo activity.

The word "Dream" in her current stage name refers to the group she originally came from.
