In 2010, Kazuya Kanomoto started working as a manga artist with the manga "Spinnerbait". In 2013, his one-shot "Majigumo wa Zettai Ame" gained popularity, and started serialization under the new name of "Setoutsumi". In 2014, he was nominated for the "18th Tezuka Osamu Cultural Award - Reader's Award" along with famous works such as "Deaf Kata", "Yowamushi Pedal", and "Boku Dake Ga Inai Machi". In 2019, he started full-scale activities as a screenwriter with movies, dramas, and Hulu original stories. Currently, he is making use of his unique authorship to expand his activities into areas other than manga. He also participates in P.I.C.S. management since 2018.
