Takashi Sakurai is an animation producer and editor. Takashi Sakurai made his debut in the anime industry in 2003, at Tokyo Kids. He originally was one of the supporting editors at Tokyo Kids, and was later promoted as the general animation editor at the studio. Prior to working for the anime industry, he worked in the live-action industry, and did some CG work at production company Future Pirates. After working on Magikano, he left Tokyo Kids, and joined Anime International Company (AIC), as one of their in-house editors. Due to Sakurai joining the studio, AIC also began offering its editing services to other studios, such as TNK, for School Days. In 2010, he made his animation producer debut with Shukufuku no Campanella, due to it streamlining the production process at AIC. In 2014 he left AIC, and founded his own production company Typhoon Graphics Co., Ltd, otherwise known as Typhoon Graphics, in which its main services are: color design, color design inspection, finish animation, special effects, 2D design, photography, and editing work.

He also has a good relationship with anime director Seiji Kishi, and after the success of 2006's co-production by GONZO and AIC's "Seto no Hanayome", Kishi often started directing anime produced at AIC, such as: "Astro Fighter Sunred", "Persona 4: The Animation", and "Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita".
