A Japanese singer, songwriter, radio personality and scriptwriter.
She has released 17 singles and 11 albums since her debut as a 13-year-old in 1994. Several of her songs have been used as anime theme songs. She is often mistaken for a voice actress because she is in the same field of activity as idol-esque voice actresses. When she is working as a screenwriter, she goes by the name Deko Akao, an alias made up from her senior Satoru Akahori's name.
